26/5/03: Port Kembla wharfie Wade Clout took out the Oceania Boxing Association welterweight title at the Fraternity Club in Wollongong last Friday.
Now he has his eyes set on a national title A contingent of around 30 Port Kembla wharfies cheered workmate Wade Clout on to an early victory in the ring on the night. Wade stopped Fijian Wahid Khan with body punches in the third round.
Trainer, former middleweight champion Vito Gaudiosi, says Wade is now set to go for a national title.
He already holds the NSW lightweight and junior welterweight titles.
