The MUA has secured a win at Fair Work Australia (FWA) today. Senior Deputy President Kaufman late this afternoon rejected Patrick's application for an order to suspend or terminate protected industrial action under s425 of the Fair Work Act.

Senior Deputy President Kaufman late this afternoon rejected Patrick's application for an order to suspend or terminate protected industrial action under s425 of the Fair Work Act.
The application was for six months and referred to bulk and general operations around Australia.
Assistant National Secretary Ian Bray said the MUA is "pleased with today's decision which allows us to continue to bargain for an agreement as permitted by the Fair Work Act.
"We continue to stand by, ready to negotiate with Patrick's for a new EBA.
"We're looking forward to getting back to the negotiating table and hope that Patrick's stop delaying the process of good faith bargaining."
