WAR ON THE WHARVES FUNDRAISER EVENT
All Welcome – work colleagues, partners, family and friends
Come join us and help raise funds for our incredible boxers who have volunteered their valuable time to fight in the “War on Wharves VI” event in November 2019.
The funds raised will help the fighters go on to fight against our United States comrades and ultimately raise funds for Souths Cares. Souths Cares is an independent not-for-profit public benevolent institution, established to support the local community and address social need across the South Sydney region. Its charter is to support disadvantaged and marginalised youth and their families through the delivery of capacity building programs, one of the programs being mental health. Souths Cares is currently focusing on wellbeing and suicide prevention and delivering mental health workshops in high schools in the South Sydney region.
Many of us have been affected by depression, anxiety and suicide, either personally or through family, friends or colleagues. On average, 7 people take their lives every day in Australia. Annually, suicide accounts for twice as many deaths as road accidents.
