Bobby Turner, a retired Seaman & Waterside Worker from Port Kembla, got calls from all around the country on Tuesday night. His picture was seen by over 4 million Facebook users.
The photo – sending a simple message to Tony Abbott about the retirement age--went mad. Bobby doesn’t have a computer or a Facebook account but he may need to get one now to read the 3,818 comments, see the 63,348 shares and the 120,000 ‘likers’, who gave him the ubiquitous Facebook thumbs up.
Just for the record – Bob isn’t work-shy. He is a regular volunteer Bus Driver at the Mission for Seafarers down at the Port. A true credit to our region and our Party.
