PORT PIRIE FLOG EBA

Published: 25 Aug 2020

This agreement passed its nominal expiry at the end of June. Flinders Logistics were reluctant to commence bargaining in Port Pirie until Adelaide’s agreement was completed. This delay is frustrating but has improved the resolve of the members to fight for a decent agreement that incorporates job security at its core and again tidies up ambiguous clauses, with modest pay increases. MUA members met collectively on 4 August to discuss EA process under the Fair Work Act, elect a new committee, discuss issues of concern and propose claims. The first meeting some months ago set out a time line and processes. A meeting on Friday 28 August will be the first with the whole committee and management representatives.
