MUA crew make headlines

The MUA crew of the RTM Weipa get their story across.

Andrew Gray, bosun,  and the MUA crew of the RTM Weipa were supposed to go in The Australian, to add balance to damning headlines attacking government plans to revitalise Australian shipping.  But they didn't.

A few days later the ship sailed to Gladstone, however, where they did get a little of the publicity they so much deserve - on the front page of the local paper, the Gladestone News Weekly.

 It's a start.

They also star in the next edition of MWJ due out in the New Year.

The all Australian Weipa crew are pioneering ship reform and the MUA-Rio Tinto Marine framework agreement which has now seen the first of many Australian crewed vessels coming back onto our coast.
