Message of thanks from the ILWU Canada to Maritime Union of Australia members

Dear Brother Crumlin,

 

On behalf of ILWU Canada and all our membership, we would like to thank you for sending a large delegation of MUA comrades to take part in our Worker Solidarity Stories Rally on July 9th.

 

Brother Mick Cross gave an excellent speech that would make every MUA member proud. We thank them for standing by our side in sharing stories of struggle and solidarity.

 

It is because of dedicated union activists and labour allies such as yourselves that we continue to lead the charge for worker rights everywhere.

 

It is important to us that we work with our friends within the labour movement and the larger community to help raise everyone up.

 

We look forward to continuing, beyond this event, with similar thoughtful and invigorating exchange of ideas and dialogue that was shared at the rally.
