Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the May Day SA Collective has cancelled both the May Day 2020 Dinner and the May Day 2020 March due to the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
While we cannot celebrate May Day this year with the usual rallying and revelry, the SA May Day Collective are inviting everyone to join in on Facebook for some online celebrations:

The Collective have created an online event and are encouraging all supporters to accept the invitation and use the event page as a platform to share May Day 2020 isolation celebrations by sharing photos, videos and messages of solidarity. They’re encouraging everyone to get in their May Day and/or Union gear, grab a bottle of May Day red and share what you’re doing on May Day. They’re suggesting video messages from Unions, musical performances, May Day fashion pics and photos of Union pets in their Union gear!
There is also a specially created May Day 2020 Spotify playlist available that supporters can add songs to and play on the night. The May Day Collective is seeking contributions so follow the link below and head over to Spotify to add your favourite pro-worker and pro-equality songs!

We will also be sharing a special video from the intended SA May Day Dinner Guest Speaker, The MUA’s Thomas Mayor, author of 'Finding the Heart of the Nation’ as well as other performances and May Day related content.
There will also be a Zoom ‘Solidarity Forvever’ singalong!
