Georgian crew held 11 months aboard their ship stranded in Libya during a dispute now safe in Malta.

Manana Ambalia's husband and her son sailed away more than a year ago and vanished , held against their will, hungry and cold, in a country that would soon erupt into war.

The Georgian-flagged ship whose 10-member crew were stranded in Libya for nearly 11 months over a business dispute escaped to Malta after seizing on confusion around the uprising against Muammar Qaddafi.
