Credit Union Hardship Relief for Flood Victims

The Maritime Mining and Power Credit Union will stand by its members who have been affected by the severe flooding in QLD and NSW.

CEO Mark Genovese said members who have been impacted by the floods will be supported by a range of financial relief options.

“Our heartfelt thoughts go out to all those affected by the devastating floods and especially the families of the victims. We will stand by our members during this difficult time and will do everything possible to make sure they receive the support they need.”

MMPCU will work with any members affected by the floods to find individual workable solutions. We have a full range of hardship relief options that can assist our members who are struggling due to the floods, such as:

 

Ø  Suspending Home, Personal Loan and Credit Card repayments for up to 3 months

Ø  Arranging temporary amendments to loan repayments to release more of the members available funds to cover immediate needs

Ø  Waiving any costs associated with services such as Card replacement.

Ø  Waiving Term Deposit break costs if members need to access their savings immediately

Ø  Providing high priority to applications for limit increases on Credit Cards.
