Letter from Glenn Williams to supporters of the YGAP Rwanda School Building Program

Thank you all for your support and kind donations that have made this project with YGAP and SANEJO in building the Nanjo primary school a true success.

Over the course of 4 weeks the team was able to add 3 new fully functional classrooms to the 5 that they have built in the previous 2 years.

The goal by late 2014 is for the group to complete 15 fully operational clasrooms, a library, computer room and teachers quarters.

The community and its children are truly excited about the prospect of all these new learning facilities and are working along side us in every way to make it possible and successful.

Sometimes what we take for granted here can only be dreamed of in places like Nanjo, running fresh water and piped sewerage are not available at present to the school but on a happier note it looks like electricity is only 18 months away coinciding with our completion date.

This in itself will be a huge boost to the school and its teaching methods by being able to introduce a more technological approach to there curriculum by including computers and accessories.

It was a pleasure and a great experience to work alongside and integrate with the local communities and i personally have taken so much out of the trip.

To be able to be given the chance to help teach these children who are all so very positive and determined to succeed with their opportunities and so willing and keen to learn was a true highlight of the trip.

Also to the groups YGAP and SANEJO it was a great group of energetic and fun volunteers whom I think thoroughly enjoyed their time and contributions in being so hands on and involved with the scope of works.

Thank you all again and look forward to catching up and sharing some more stories and visions of this unbelievable trip.

Cheers Glenn Williams
