Long time MUA activist and official Kevin Durnian has been fondly remembered by friends, family and comrades today at his funeral in Queensland.
Kevin, who served as Assistant Branch Secretary in Queensland from 1982 to 1988, passed away recently.

It is with great sadness that I report to members the sudden passing of international union communications stalwart and activist Andrew Casey, who died unexpectedly in Sydney on Thursday.

It has been a sad day for our union as I have to inform that Taffy Pat Sweetensen has also passed away. Another giant of the Australian and international trade union movement Taff has been in poor health for a period of time now. Known and loved for his toughness and leadership Taffy came from an international comradeship of the sea and socialist movement from a time when class struggle , war and the constant campaign for peace defined his trade union and seafaring life.
It is with the greatest regret to report that staunch Delegate and beloved MUA member Brendan Ingleson passed away on Tuesday morning.
