WA P&O Negotiations

01 November 2002

By Terry Buck - State Secretary

Negotiations on the 2002 P&O Agreement were continued last week with the Bulk & General agreement being in a final stage of conclusion. However, more progress is required in the terminal negotiations.

A stalemate has resulted in the roster negotiations, with some earlier documents provided by the company appearing to be incorrect. Whether this was a deliberate ploy or not, it is hoped that now the correct figures are available some progress may be made in the roster discussion.

Rescheduling of the Fremantle discussions will be considered this week, but at this stage it is likely that discussion will be reconvened on November 15th onwards.
