Hungry Mile to Hollywood

"We extend our solidarity to all the American working men and women," he said. "We are with you in heart, we are with you in spirit, we are walking shoulder to shoulder from Hollywood down the docks in LA." The ILWU Local 10 Drill Team kicked off the 28-mile march organised by the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO. The Federationorganised the march to spotlight and support the 350,000 workers whose unions will be negotiating new contracts this year--including those in the ILWU Longshore Division. ILWU President Bob McEllrath speaks from the Hungry Mile, Sydney Australia, ILWU Secretary Treasurer Willie Adams returns to the USA on April 17th to address the rally in LA.
