Darwin workers and politicians rally against Howard

Darwin was not left out of national stopwork actions protesting John Howard's intended interference into current industrial laws                                                                                                                             

All 19 Northern Territory Labor politicians including the chief minister joined thousands of Darwin workers who marched throughthe streets to a mass meeting at the Civic Gardens demonstrating  organised workers opposition to John Howard's proposals to introduce his anti-union legislation.

MUA marchers pictured include Mick Killick and rank and filers Bruce & Doug Neave and Keith Risk.

The NT Government has pledged to support Territory workers against Howard's IR regime.

Federal politicians  MHR Warren Snowdon and Senator Trish Crossin also joined the marchers.
