RETURNING OFFICER 1 Jul 2011 National Returning Officer Phil Byrne reports on the Natoinal Women's Committee elections.

Declaration of Women's Committee Election

Nominations for the 13 positions on the Women's Committee closed on 1 June 2011, and all were found in order. 

 

The representatives for all positions not requiring a ballot are as follows.

 

Victoria (2) - Jodie Larkins, Maryanne Walker

Queensland (2) - Fiona Munro, Alicia Lancaster

South Australia (1) - Lucy Niemann

West Australia (2) - Rachael Bonner, Tonia Kerns

Tasmania (2) - Cara Morris (general), Joanne Long (SPOT General)

Northern Territory (1) - Erica Seipel

New South Wales (Ferries - 1) - Kylie Scott

 

The election for 2 New South Wales (General) representatives on the Women's committee concluded on Wednesday 29 June.

 

19 Ballot Papers were returned and the results are as followed:

 

JANE HYSLOP, 13

JESSICA PONT, 11

SUZAN VIRAGO, 11

 

At the conclusion of the count Jessica Pont contacted the National Returning Officer and indicated that she wished to withdraw forthwith.

 

Accordingly Jane Hyslop and Suzan Virago will fill the 2 NSW positions on the Women's Committee.
