MUA Youth Committee Chair Addresses National Council
Maritime Union of Australia Youth Committee Chair, David Ball has indicated the intentions of the youth committee to seek a more active role in union work at National Council, today.

David outlined the commitment of the MUA youth movement and thanked the council for having a youth observer attend to gain a broader understanding of the work that the union does.

"Attending National Council has given me an insight to the work of our great union and now I can take that back and report to the youth committee," said David.

"I believe there are many youth members who want to get actively involved with the work of the union."

David’s attendance at National Council is the direct result of a youth resolution to the 2012 MUA National Conference in February to have an observer on the council.

This is another example of the MUA's commitment to the young workers of the union.
