I'm In The Union

By Maritime Union of Australia

MASTER CHEF: Marine cook Cia Wernblom helped whip up a winning

recipe for the ITF/ MUA shipping campaign - celebrity sporting

heroes, a sinking ship, sun, surf, billboards, a big event and

a bit of live drama as 'Slick' the oily surfer went flesh and

blood.

"I was the sacrificial lamb," said Cai. "It was good fun. It looked realistic and grabbed people's hearts. You should have seen the looks of apprehension. It really opened their eyes in a big way. No one wants to see this happen to their beach. Everyone's talking about it. And the media loved it. They had a ball. It was fantastic PR. I think the message will really stick"
