Election Lotto

Want a safe bet? Well the Labor Party want the average punter to know that a vote for Howard in 2004 will mean Costello takes the jackpot in 2006, if not 2005.

"A vote for Howard is a vote for Costello" is how the party puts it.

This scratchie card puts the message across with a bit of humour. It looks like a legit lotto ticket. You can't see what you've got until you take a scratch.

On the back of the card is the fine print. You might get "two years of Howard and one year of Costello, or one year of Howard and two years of Costellos," the scratchie quotes former Workplace Relations Minister Mr Abbott as saying.

ALP internal polling puts the Treasurer/succession issue as a major negative for the Coalition this time around.

So help get the message out.

The union has 10,000 scratchies ready to go. Members who want to help distribute them around the marginals should contact their local branch.
