Transportworkers of the world unite

Paddy Crumlin, MUA addresses a rally outside the Australian Embassy in NZ

ITF affiliates protested internationally against the Howard Government IR bill at to Australian diplomatic missions on November 15

The ITF executive meeting in October unanimously condemned the repressive anti-union laws, as undermining the proud Australian traditions of democracy, decency and fairness for working people

"The ITF joins, the international trade union movement in its commitment to fully and actively support the worldwide protest against these laws," ITF General Secretary David Cockroft wrote in a letter to all Australian ITF affiliates in November. "Australian traditions of democracy, decency and fairness have stood out as a benchmark for many other countries. This legislation undermines these proud traditions."
