Union education began early with my father and uncles being wharfies and seamen.
In 1968 I joined the Firemen and Deckhands Union and started with Manly Port Jackson Steamship Co.
Between 1969-79 I worked for Stannards, then joined the SUA and went deep sea, often being elected delegate.
Workplace safety should not be compromised by cost. What price is human life? Whether you are on a ship, on a wharf, or in an office, your conditions and workplace safety are crucial.
I will do my utmost to help you solve workplace issues. My door is always open.
