Candidate: Stephen Linhart

Steve Linhart

Position: SA Branch Secretary

1 position, 3 candidates

I started in the union 11 years ago as a seafarer and am currently a stevedore at CSX Outer Harbour. The issues I believe we should be focussing on, which in turn will strengthen the rank and file's powerbase and MUA's future, are: Honesty and accountability to the members, Clawing back conditions already lost, Bargain and achieve more permanent jobs, Convert casuals/supplementaries to full time or permanent part-time after 6-12 months, Lift casual loading to 30-50% to deter casualisation, OH&S enforcement, Education and training, nationally recognised certification, achieve 100% of members financial.
