ITF Congress, Mexico City

The theme of the congress is Strong Unions - Sustainable Transport and is being held in Mexico City. A rally to support Mexican workers will also be held during the conference.

Congress events include three special conferences - A Youth conference will be held on Tuesday 3 August, Climate Change and Transport conference will be held on Wednesday 4 August and a Women's Conference will be held on 9 August.

The ITF Congress is a chance for our activists and delegates to experience the ITF first hand and get a real sense of how this global union federation works. The experience gained for attending congress will serve the delegates well in their future on the job.

The chance to hear the hardships and successes of other unions from around the world is an experience they will always remember. The opportunity to meet other union delegates and leaders and share stories and make contacts is crucial and our commitment to international solidarity will be further strengthened by this exposure.

All members are encouraged to support the delegates to this congress. They will report back on their experience and share with you their new found knowledge which will also serve to help us understand - why we do what we do!
